SUMMARY

I Need You…

Tse Yuen Yee (謝婉儀), who is 40 years old, is the founder of the “House of Joy & Mercy”. In the past two years, she has been the only person responsible for handling all major and minor affairs in this house for stray dogs. The “House of Joy & Mercy” is currently operating with donations from kind-hearted people. Volunteers sometimes come to help. Jacky, a volunteer, praises her non-stop… | Choi Ying Hing (蔡映卿) is over 60 years old. In order to take care of the stray dogs more easily, she has not gone back to her home in Kwun Tong for over 10 years. There is an organization for animals regularly distributing dog food to stray dogs in Tai Tong. However, she insists on using her own money to pay for the dogs' baths. She doesn't mind working hard so that the doges will have a better life. She sees this as a kind of spiritual practice. They are as close to her as if they are her sons and daughters. Everyone praises her kindness. | Her son Hu Ka Chun (胡家俊) and she only meet once every several months in Tai Tong. Tse often brings home old, weak, sick and disabled dogs to care for. | Chung (阿鍾) is Tse's husband. He appreciates her wife because she is like an iron hand in a velvet glove. They have consensus not to have children. In order to look after the dogs, Tse has been bitten many times. Problems of noise and hygiene often cause complaints. However, these do not hinder her passion to look after these dogs. How many people will dedicate their free time, almost spending 24 hours every day to look after and stay with these “unseen” stray dogs? If a stray dog is able to communicate with people, it may say, “I need you”…
