FACULTY PICK :

In addition to the detailed modeling, stylistic movements and a funny storyline are the main features of this animation. The most challenge task is to integration of live footage with computer graphics elements. Factors such as camera perspective, lighting, reflection, and shadow need to be considered in order to produce convincing images. Improper match of moving will result with the CG elements not planting on the ground of the live footage. Besides, correct shadows in direction and sharpness are evenly crucial in establishing the realistic composition of the CG elements with the live footage. Casting shadows on live footage create the illusion that the CG elements exist under the same physical environment. Therefore, a thorough understanding and records of the lighting situation of the live footage is needed in order to plan the corresponding CG lightings to recreate the shadows and reflection for composition.
