隨著社會環境、年輕人價值觀的改變,大學畢業生在工作模式、取態都有所不同,更強調追尋理想的生活。究竟新一代的大學畢業生追求甚麼?甚麼原因令他們改變?畢業後,可以「搞邊科」呢?繆思勤(Hannah)畢業後,投入業餘劇團的義務工作,收入來源依靠兼職。九十後的新一代受後物質主義的思想影響。學者黎可欣認為,現時本港的大學畢業生找工作的心態和上一代很不同……。Eric由澳洲畢業返港,想投考督察,礙於自己的體重,又不想面對艱苦的紀律訓練,他對這個夢想有點猶疑……。盧劍雄(Johnny)在大學為學生提供就業意見。他指出,如果年輕人欠缺適當的生涯規劃,選擇自己的路向時,很容易會感到迷惘,甚至選錯科目。根據教資會的最新數據,大學畢業生失業或就業不足的情況近年都有上升趨勢,顯示愈來愈多人喜歡做兼職、打散工等工作。除了兼職工作,有些畢業生會利用工作假期、旅行,甚至臨時工來探索前路。黃健瑜去了幾趟畢業旅行,選擇工作以興趣為先,計劃未來會去工作假期。有些年輕人因為找不到理想工作,工作又不開心,才決定重返校園進修。有些人則決定創業,陳健欣(Peter)修讀心理學,接觸冥想後,開辦一系列冥想靜觀課程……
