A group of doctors has proposed a judicial review to revise the Professional Code of Conduct of the Medical Council of Hong Kong. In particular, they would like to address the issue of the ban on promotional endorsements. It is hoped that this action will result in public discussion and balance the needs of all sides.私家醫院副院長申請司法覆核，指控香港醫務委員會。該會的專業守則違反基本法，剝削醫生的言論自由和公眾的知情權。根據專業守則規定，醫生不准宣傳業務，否則構成專業失德。不同分科或立場的醫生都爭取自己的利益，壁壘分明。前醫學會會長認為，副院長維護團體利益，用資源衝擊醫委會，讓各方面討論，最終法庭會考慮雙方的理據和社會的價值。
