Is It Worth Learning?
An emphasis on vocational training in the new senior secondary curriculum for special schools is said to undermine academic achievement and other aspects of the development of students with special educational needs.
政府在特殊學校設立新高中制,課程側重於職業訓練。該類學生學習職業導向課程,較容易就業,無需賦閒在家。特殊學校裡,學生就算智力正常,只是肢體傷殘、患有自閉症等,都必須參加該課程,這種做法罔顧他們的真正需要。其實,智障學生理解能力並不弱,只是表達能力較差。新高中課程漠視學生的學術需要,扼殺他們的思想,又欠缺教授生活技能。
