Reminiscence therapy and Music therapy are effective treatments for Alzheimer’s disease, but Hong Kong public hospitals do not provide these kinds of service. Unlike some foreign countries, the Government also does not offer financial assistance to the families concerned.
老人容易患上老人痴呆症（下稱該症），但是政府沒有對該症患者提供適當援助。該症患者透過懷舊治療和音樂治療，有效舒緩病情，但是公立醫院並沒有提供此類治療，患者只能求助於私人機構。家屬因照顧該症患者而放棄事業，但是政府沒有效法外國，為患者家屬提供經濟援助，患者家屬因而經濟拮据。
