Social Workers Can’t Handle All the Family Disputes.
In recent years, there has been an increase in the number of domestic violence in Hong Kong, and most victims are female Chinese immigrants. Local social workers pay too much attention to the completeness of family and tend to ignore the safety of the victims. Discrimination and inadequate resources of social services make the situation even worse.夫妻不和而衍生的家庭暴力事件，不斷增加。香港社工過度重視家庭的完整性，只顧理順他們的溝通問題，漠視受虐者的安全，以致局限了可行的解決方法。受虐者大多數為女性，新移民約佔其中一半。不恰當的輔導手法，歧視問題，資源不足，都令受虐者沒法得到適當的幫助。家庭暴力的殺傷力愈來愈大，引起社會各界關注。
