如Ru - Suchness Thusness
如Ru is a simple Chinese word with deep and complicated meaning, and translates into “ Suchness or Thusness” in Zen thinking. This work merges the unique spirit and method of Western Glass blowing technique and Eastern Calligraphy, and the Zen thought of Suchness and Thusness. It presents the idea of living in the ‘now’. In this work I present the quiet moment of now in the hot and sweating environment of glass blowing, by writing Chinese character- 如onto hot glass. Each moment is unique and can’t be duplicated, just as it is- Ru Ru Ru Ru Ru.

如所應如, 結合西方－吹玻璃與東方－書法的特性, 學習禪學境界－如如, 在吹玻璃火熱的環境中呈現書法寧靜純粹的當下, 活在當下, 毎個當下都是獨一無二, 無可替代與複製, 如所當如－如如如如如。
