Due to a general lack of knowledge about mental illness, discrimination against ex-mentally ill people is still common in the society. Also, the Hong Kong Government does not provide adequate social rehabilitation service, so these people are usually deprived of job opportunities.
精神病康復者不但遭市民歧視，他們亦缺乏政府支援，難以重新融入社會。雖然家人的關懷能讓精神病康復者勇敢地面對病情，但是市民對精神病的了解不足，歧視精神病康復者的情況仍舊十分普遍。另一方面，政府對精神病康復者投放的資源不足，他們缺乏就業機會，如何自力更生？
