Being self-financed and lack support of record companies, local bands in Hong Kong can hardly prosper. Copyright infringement and medium of language are other factors holding them back from entering mainland China's market.
由於沒有唱片公司的支援，香港樂隊難以在香港及中國興旺發展。經營樂隊是自負盈虧的，致使香港樂隊難得作公開表演和發行唱片，也沒有做好公關宣傳，根本乏人問津。雖說音樂無國界，面對溝通及盜版猖獗等兩大障礙，香港樂隊難以讓廣東話及英語作品在中國大行其道，因而未能在中國市場分一杯羮。
