More young candidates from a wide range of backgrounds and occupations contested the 2011 Hong Kong District Council Election. They shared common traits, including being young, ambitious, and proficient in the utilization of modern media methods. Regardless of their purpose and election platform, these rising political stars undoubtedly energized the election. 第四屆區議會參選議員有年青化趨勢，這群年青新晉有人民力量成員、也有社民連成員；有專業人士、現任區議員和大學生。不論階層，共通點就是夠年青、夠潮、夠激，加上善用媒體力量，短短時間已成為萬千注目的街頭勇士。他們參選的目的何在？背後政治理念又是甚麼？無可否認，政壇新星的湧現，的確為選舉帶來無限新動力。
