Second Half… of Life.

Study in United States points out that that senior citizens “working after retirement” suffer less cardiovascular diseases or diabetes than their peers who do not work at all. Retired senior citizens working in the same industry as before are also better in terms of mental health. Senior citizens, who choose to work again, start a business or volunteer, enjoy a wonderful second half of their lives. The labor force will be in decline. Steering Committee on Population Policy suggests that senior citizens should be encouraged to engage in the workplace again. Scholars opine that other than personal gain for the retirees, productivity of the society can also be maintained. What are the benefits for the senior citizens?
