Dim Hope for Tram’s Future.
Tram is a convenient and economical transportation in Hong Kong. Tram can also work with tourism, as it represents a unique culture of Hong Kong. Since the Hong Kong Government do not perceive tram as a major transportation, the future development of tram is limited and not optimistic.
電車是一種很方便的交通工具，車費平宜，還可以與旅遊結合，讓遊客感受香港的另一面。不過，面對激烈的競爭，電車載客量日漸下降。電車公司財力有限，難以解決保留和發展的需求。在政府的鐵路規劃裡，電車只屬於輔助性質的交通工具，開拓路線受到局限。移走電車軌無助改善港島區的運輸效率，保留電車卻沒有發展空間。食之無味，棄之可惜！
