The local political party “Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong” (DAB) works to attract young members, especially new Chinese immigrants. The expanding membership and support helped 60% of DAB’s candidates secure seats in the 2007 District Council Election.民建聯銳意從不同渠道吸納青年人入黨，尤其以國內新移民為主。本報導記載了四位新移民青年，如何直接或間接得到該黨的幫助，迅速融入香港社會並解決生活難題。年青新移民投桃報李，或加入該黨、或為該黨的地方選舉出力。該黨在二零零七年區議會選舉中，有約六成的參選者當選。
