A school of one’s own
Parents choosing alternatives to mainstream schooling have to consider the problem of combining learning progession and reintegration at a later point. Given the differences with mainstream schools, some students have expeienced difficulty aclimating later on.
家長為子女選擇非主流教學，都必須考慮升學的銜接問題。既有家長揀選體制內的學校；也有家長創辦小學，為兒子延續另類教育。有學生升學後不能適應主流教育，寧願長途跋涉，回舊校繼續學業。學者認為，主流教育過於著重考試成績，忽略培養學生的共通能力。教育理念未如理想，因而出現許多另類教育。教育制度遭受質疑、挑戰，應該怎樣定位呢？
