Drawing from marine forms and a love of nature, I try to capture the qualities of sea into three-dimensional ceramic. I carve twisting forms and rippling surfaces evocative of marine life and pooling currents of water. I wrap the strip layer by layer and the lines shape the forms of the vessels. This creates textures and pattern and elevates the visual complexity of my artworks.
