Every Word Counts for School Children with Learning Difficulties.

Without appropriate support, school children with learning difficulties struggle to do well in the exam-oriented education system in Hong Kong, which places emphasis on rote learning and recitation.
香港教育制度著重考試,強調抄寫背誦,不利於有讀寫障礙的學生。他們記憶力弱、專注力低、組織力差和未能分辨左右。這類學生常被誤解為懶散、愚蠢或不合作,就算有創作或藝術天分,不容易獲得老師欣賞。部份小學設有調適課程幫助他們,中學沒有銜接制度,他們要重新適應學習形式。心理學家認為,小班教學是出路之一,老師可提供較多個別照顧的機會。
