Hong Kong is renowned for being a shoppers’ paradise—only a small number of tourists come for cultural sites. To lure tourists beyond shopping and scenery, Hong Kong Tourism Board created a new tourism scheme. But tourism is one of Hong Kong’s four mainstays of the economy—After pouring resources to encourage different types of tourism, will Hong Kong still retain its allure?
香港享有購物天堂美譽,遊客主要來購物,只有少數遊客想體驗本土文化。文化旅遊,投入資源很大,難以回本。何況喜歡文化的旅客,畢竟是少數。因此,香港主辦這類文化導賞團,寥寥無幾。旅遊發展局意識到難以只靠景點和購物來吸引遊客,在年前推出新旅遊產品計劃,資助部份推廣經費,鼓勵業界開發不同主題的特色旅遊。旅遊是香港四大支柱產業之一,為香港帶來巨額收入。長遠來說,香港還有沒有吸引力呢?
