A Sense of Community.
The outbreak of fire in Cha Kwo Ling Village has kindled a sense of unity among residents there. This includes the original residents as well as a group of new Chinese immigrants. The villagers have formed a fire prevention team to protect their homes.
茶果嶺村兩場火災，三百人痛失家園。該村再次組織防火隊，新舊居民通力合作。茶果嶺村的居民主要是客家人，隨著時代發展，新移民陸續遷入。彼此缺乏溝通，關係疏離，大火令他們聯繫起來。同一天空下，新舊居民對惡劣的居住環境有不同感受，舊街坊甘之如飴，新移民則希望早日遷入公屋。舊街坊有深厚情誼，重視節慶；新移民只有過客心態。
