This is a conceptual artwork.
Every day, the computer programme written by the artist randomly generates an artistic instruction from fragments of texts. For a week, the artist needs to make art day by day according to the received instructions. And the seven pieces all point to the Chinese government's excessive pandemic prevention policies. The computer programme is like a cage drawn for the artist, limiting his creation. The work is named Drawn Prison, which is taken from a Chinese idiom. Drawing a circle on the ground as a prison, the artist uses this to satirise those unnecessary and meaningless rules. This is not only an exposition of the form the project has taken, but also a metaphor for the overly defensive policies of the Chinese government.
