Leprosy is a chronic infectious disease that invades a person’s skin, peripheral nerves as well as respiratory tract. Although this is not a disease of high mortality or infectious rate, long years of misunderstandings have caused many leprosy patients lifelong sufferings in isolation.
麻瘋是一種侵襲皮膚、周圍神經及呼吸道的慢性傳染病。這並非死亡率及傳染率高的疾病，但長久以來的誤解，令麻瘋患者終身飽受迫害，與世隔離。
