The Hong Kong Government promote national education inside and outside classrooms. National education is embedded into school curriculums and activities. A promotional video is also broadcast daily. The education sector comments that national education should also touch on challenges and history of the nation.
特區政府在校園內外推行國情教育，培養市民認同國民身份，提升市民的國民意識。學校除教授這類課程外，還提供升旗訓練和往內地參觀等活動。公民教育委員會亦推出宣傳短片，《心繫家國》每晚在電視台播放。教育界認為，政府不應強行推銷國家的成就及光榮面，忽略或否認其潛在問題。了解國家應該從歷史入手，才可以鞏固學生對祖國的感情。
